The Sun Valley Wellness Festival & Conference (SVWFC), is widely recognized as the longest-running wellness festival in the world with a well-deserved reputation of attracting the world’s greatest thought-leaders.
Its 23rd annual event, taking place June 26 – 29, 2020, will feature an outstanding line up of renowned speakers, including Keynote Speaker and sleep expert Dr. Matthew Walker, featured speakers Robert F. Keynote speaker Dr. Matthew Walker, PhD is a sleep scientist and researcher on the cutting-edge of findings related to sleep and how sleep directly relates to human health and disease. His New York Timesbest-selling book, Why We Sleep, provides a complete description of, and prescription for, sleep. With Charting cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs, and synthesizing decades of research and clinicalpractice, Why We Sleep explains how we can harness sleep to; prevent cancer, Alzheimer’s, obesity and diabetes; slow the effects of aging; increase longevity; improve learning, mood, and energy levels; regulate hormones, enhance the education and lifespan of our children; and boost the efficiency, success, and productivity of our businesses. Dr. Walker is a Professor of Neuroscience and Psychology, and founder and director of the Center for Human Sleep Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a frequent guest on major mediaoutlets, including the BBC, CBS, and NPR, and was the feature of a CBS 60 Minutes special entitled “TheScience of Sleep.” He also helped create the recent National Geographic documentary, Sleepless inAmerica, and the PBS NOVA special, Memory Hackers, and most recently contributed to the BBC Horizondocumentary, Curing Alzheimer’s.
