Whether weaving through a five-acre corn maze, zip lining among the leaves, or meandering down the Mighty Miramichi River, the region offers enriching fall experiences for leaf peepers, families, and active travelers.

LAND
Navigate through Miramichi’s newest fall attraction, Fletcher’s Farm’s five-acre corn maze, for a family-friendly way to celebrate fall. Ignite some friendly competition with a Miramichi-themed scavenger hunt, or take on the challenge of making it to the top of a hay bale pyramid. Finish the day with a wagon ride around the farm with a bag of popcorn and a cold drink. Available from September 1 to October 27, adults and children can experience the maze by day and by night. Rates start at $8.75 CAD per adult, $6.95 CAD per child ages 13 and under.
This fall, travelers are welcome to experience the traditions of the Mi’kmaq people during the Mawiomi of Nations at Callanders Beach in Kouchibouguac National Park. The Mawiomi, or “gathering,” gives guests a glimpse into the indigenous culture of the region through traditional music and dance, ceremonies, storytelling, and more. The Mawiomi of Nations begins at 6 a.m. on October 6 and will feature drum groups from neighboring provinces such as, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Québec.
AIR
Soar through the air above French Fort Cove at Over the Cove Zipline this fall. With two lines totaling nearly 2,000 feet, Over the Cove Zipline is the longest zipline in New Brunswick. Adventurous travelers can enjoy stunning autumn colors from the top of the zipline each weekend until October 8. Rates start at $20 CAD per adult, $18 CAD per youth 18 and under or 55+. Zipline availability is weather dependent.
RIVER
Paddle the Miramichi
Storeytown Cottages encourages guests to get on the river with the “Autumn & Great Outdoors” package. Scout the best foliage while canoeing down the Miramichi River before relaxing in Storeytown Cottages’ riverside hot tub and sauna. Package includes a two-night stay in a two-bedroom cottage with wood stove, canoe and gear rental for four, shuttle drop off for a two or three-hour paddle, and access to the hot tub and sauna. Available September 1 – November 1, rates start at $480 CAD for two nights based on four people.
Miramichi to the Max
Hop aboard the “Max Aitken” for a cruise up or down the Mighty Miramichi with Miramichi River Boat Tours. Enjoy panoramic views of brilliant fall foliage from the boat’s top deck while listening to stories of the river’s history and the Acadian heritage of the area from the fully bilingual Captain Hache. Miramichi River Boat Tours offers flexible cruising times and is available to book through mid-October. Prices include $15 CAD per person for adults and $10 CAD per child.
