US visitors are no longer required to present a negative CoVid-19 test
to access hotels and restaurants, in Portugal.
91,4% of Portugal’s population is fully vaccinated and 57,4% of the population has already received the booster. CoVid-19 vaccination is available for population ≥ 5 Years of Age and booster shots are available for population ≥ 25 Years of Age.
While Portugal and Azores still have entry restrictions in place for US visitors, Madeira Islands have lifted all entry restrictions to the destination.
Facemasks continue to be MANDATORY indoors, in public transport, hospitals, cultural events, shopping malls and in specific outdoor events.

Madeira (air, land and cruises):

A valid vaccination or recovery EU Digital COVID Certificate or
PCR / NAAT test within 72 hours of boarding or
Antigen / TRAg test within 24 hours of boarding.
Exceptions to testing: Children under 12yo.
Passenger Locator Card must be completed and submitted online within 4 days prior to travel.
Sea Cruises specific: Same rules as arriving by air apply. All passengers need to fill the Passenger Locator Form (individually) online, within 96 hours prior to the estimated time of arrival in mainland Portugal. The QR Code generated when filling out the PLF can be presented in paper or digital form.
Azores (air, land and cruises) + information: COVID-19 | Travel to the Azores

PCR / NAAT test within 72 hours or
Antigen / TRAg test within 48 hours or
CoVid-19 recovery certificate
